🍷 A juicy and varietal Blaufränkisch from apparently limestone soils - kalkstein is limestone in German. Great with practically any food, and also on its own. Small red and black fruits in the foreground, with earthy and mineral notes and a light hint of leather. This is one of the best Blaufränkisch in this category and although it is more affordable and suitable for a weeknight dinner, it also has great aging potential.

👨🌾 Klaus Preisinger is one of the brightest representatives of the new wine scene in Austria. Born and raised among the vineyards near Gols, on the shores of Lake Neusiedler See, in the well-known Burgenland wine region. Klaus has been making wine for over 25 years and from the very beginning, caring for our surroundings has been a priority.
🌱 His vineyards are spread out in dozens of small plots around the lake, and in front of the terrace of his futuristic winery, the whole of Burgenland stretches out. In the vineyard and cellar, Klaus works minimalistically and biodynamically, using vessels such as amphorae, concrete, old barrels.
🍷 The result is lively, energetic and pure wines that bear his signature and the scent of the region and enjoy well-deserved fame in most restaurants and wine bars in Europe and around the world.
